01/2011 – 01/2013 Cloud Security Project: Developing and improving JavaScript libraries for a secure cloud storage project using client side encryption/decryption based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography. Creation of a basic prototype using the developed library.
09/2010 – 01/2011 Optional Semester Project (8 ECTS): Laboratory for Cryptographic Algorithms (LACAL). I was working on an efficient and fast OpenCL implementation of the Elliptic Curve Method (ECM) for factoring.

08/2010 – 10/2010 Summer Internship MMSP: Internship in the Multimedia Signal Processing Lab (MMSPG) on No-Reference Quality Metrics (NRQM). I was implementing and comparing different NRQM using an EPFL video database containing corrupted videos with different packet loss rates. The goal was to compare the score of the NRQM algorithms against the subjective score aquired from test-subjects.
02/2010 – 06/2010 Internship MMSP: Internship in the MMSPG Lab on an Android project where I worked with C++ (OpenCV libraries) and usability studies on a haptic video player. I had to set up a testing framework using two cameras (face-detection) and the integrated android sensors (accelerometer / gps) and collect data for further processing. Furthermore I implemented a basic video-player.
02/2010 – 06/2010 Semester Project (12 ECTS): Laboratory for Cryptographic Algorithms (LACAL). I was optimizing and debugging C++ code used in the BOINC project http://abcathome.com/. I gained experience in C++ (and debuging/profiling), Cell development (PS3), python and number therory in general (ABC conjecture).
